1949 - Von der Hammer- zur Gesenk­schmiede

After returning from Russian captivity, Ferdinand Bernhofer IV takes over management and begins restructuring the hammer mill: with the forging building inaugurated in January 1949, in which spring and air hammers as well as spindle presses are installed, the decisive step towards drop forging is taken.
